How Can swelling And Pain In The Palm be Treated?

I was bit or stung a week ago by something. The bit or sting sight is very painful to the touch. The swelling from the spread of the venom keeps getting bigger and is very sensitive and painful. No dizziness or vometing, but swollen area is now the size of the palm of my hand and very hot to the touch. My local doctor didn t know what it was and prescribed antibiotics. Looked up scorpion, brown recluse with no clear answer. Any ideas? Or what to do to treat pain, redness and swelling?

For an insect bite I would recommend applying ice pack at the site. Also take some over the counter anti-histaminic like Cetirizine to reduce the swelling.
i would also advice getting the sting site examined by a doctor to check for any sting remaining there at the site and remove it.
Hope this answers your question, thank you.
